2-1-1, similar to 9-1-1 or 4-1-1, will serve as a 24-hour, help line, providing information and assistance on all health and human services in Orange County. The Office on Aging is one of four host agencies that began work over a year ago on the 2-1-1 project, which is expected to be available within the next year. Info Link will serve as the lead agency for developing and implementing 2-1-1 in Orange County. "Being the first line of referral for all older adult calls, puts our department in a key role to ensure that people are connected to the right service at the right time," said Julie Loats, the Office on Aging's Information and Assistance Manager.
