CALIFORNIA SENIOR LEGISLATIVE ELECTIONS TO BE HELD
Seven Vacant Seats Available For Orange County Representatives

SANTA ANA, Calif., March 4, 2002 - The Orange County Office on Aging announces elections for seven available seats on the California Senior Legislature to be held at 11 a.m. on May 10, 2002, at the Lakeview Senior Center in Irvine. Elections will take place during the regularly scheduled monthly meeting of the Orange County Senior Citizens Advisory Council.

There are two Senior Senators and five Senior Assembly member seats vacant in Orange County. The California Senior Legislature consists of 40 Senior Senators and 80 Senior Assembly members who are elected every two years to serve as non-partisan representatives of older adults for the State.
