Adult Day Service Centers often serve specialized populations, which include Alzheimer’s patients, specific cultural groups, developmentally disabled adults over 18 and the frail elderly population.

Adult Residential Facilities are licensed care homes for adult residents ages 18 through 59 with mental health care needs or who have physical or developmental disabilities and require or prefer assistance with care and supervision in a private residential home setting.

This list is intended to assist individuals looking for affordable rental housing throughout Orange County.  THIS IS NOT A LIST OF VACANCIES.

Assisted Living Facilities are specially constructed for the purpose of caring for seniors.  They are generally laid out apartment style with private or semi-private accommodations and community dining rooms.

The Assisted Living Waiver Program is designed to assist Medi-Cal beneficiaries to remain in their community as an alternative to residing in a licensed health care facility.  The program provides specified benefits to eligible seniors and persons with disabilities.

Board and Care Homes are residential care homes licensed for six or fewer residents housed in a private residential home setting.  Board and Care Homes provide non-medical custodial care in a single family residence.

In-Home Caregiver agencies provide caregivers who care for and supervise older and dependent adults within their own homes.

The following list of mobile home parks include those mobile units designated as “retirement” within mobile home communities (for persons 55+ and 62+). The list includes mobile homes that can be purchased and rented. Please contact the individual places on the list for further information.

Senior/Community Centers act as a focal point for Older Americans to receive many aging services. They are a vital part of the aging network, and provide a variety of programs and services to help seniors maintain their functionality, independence and vitality.

Skilled Nursing/Convalescent Facilities are health care facilities or distinct parts of hospitals that provide intensive nursing service, as well as supportive services for people who require continuous inpatient care but who are not in an acute phase of an illness.
