Legislative and Alzheimer’s Updates Supporting Older Adults

Older adults and caregivers can benefit from trusted resources that support informed decision-making, planning, and care. The following statewide and local organizations provide guidance on aging-related policy, Alzheimer’s disease, and caregiver support.

California Senior Legislature

California Senior Legislature (CSL) works to help preserve and enhance the quality of life for older Californians and their families. Their latest update on 2025-2026 legislative priorities affect the lives of older adults, adults with disabilities, and caregivers. As a result of the State’s Master Plan for Aging, CSL’s priorities align with each of the Five Bold Goals to prepare the state for the growing aging population.

Alzheimer’s Orange County

Alzheimer’s Orange County is dedicated to providing quality care and support services to the thousands of Orange County residents affected by Alzheimer’s disease and other related dementias. The organization also partners with local researchers to populate clinical trials aimed at finding a cure. Their presentation, An Alzheimer’s Update, focused on the prevalence of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias, the importance of early diagnosis and intervention, and resources available to support both individuals and caregivers.
